Osuntokun: The VC Of ABU Disclosed How His Colleagues Proudly Admitted To Manipulating The Election
Akin Osuntokun, the head of the Obidatti Campaign Council, has claimed that, the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, supported their assertions regarding the misconduct of the 2023 election.
In an interview with Channels TV, Osuntokun stated that, the Vice Chancellor of ABU, disclosed how one of his colleagues boasted, about the methods they employed to manipulate the election results, in favor of specific political parties. Osuntokun further stated that, corruption in Nigeria is deeply entrenched within a network of various institutions and agencies.
He asserted that, “The nature of INEC’s representation, exemplifies a prevailing systemic crisis in Nigeria. It appears that, there are unscrupulous agencies operating within the system. How does one disrupt these destructive cycles? Recently, the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), made a statement indicating that, his fellow colleagues, who were appointed as returning officers, proudly admitted to manipulating the election. If professors engage in such activities, it becomes increasingly challenging to find a solution to this ongoing problem.”
