I Am Very Happy With PEPT Judgement, It Was A Moment Of Joy For Me- Wike Reacts To PEPT Judgement

The ruling by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal yesterday upholding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 Presidential election has been welcomed by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

Speaking in an interview on Channels Television today, Wike expressed joy and elation at the tribunal’s judgment. He congratulated President Tinubu and his running mate, Shettima, saying it was by the grace of God that Tinubu’s victory had been affirmed by the tribunal.

Wike praised the judiciary for their hard work in delivering the lengthy judgment, which took over 10 hours. He commended them for their admirable effort in handling the case and arriving at what he believed was the right decision.

The Minister said he was very pleased with the tribunal’s ruling, which aligns with his own position, and views it as a moment of celebration. He reiterated his congratulations to President Tinubu on having his electoral victory upheld after facing a legal challenge from other parties.

According to Wike, this outcome is the best possible one for the country as it demonstrates the resilience of Nigeria’s democratic institutions and their commitment to fairness and justice.
