A Political Analyst, Mahmud Jega, has insinuated that the immediate past Governor of Rivers State and a stalwart in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nyesom Wike, holds the greatest position in the cabinet of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu; as he expressed surprise that the former Lagos governor named the former Rivers governor Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), even though the position is the number one in his cabinet.
Mahmud Jega had said, “The biggest surprise is that Nyesom Wike is coming to the FCT, which is probably the number one cabinet portfolio; but the President must have his reasons.”

The Political Commentator, who spoke during an interview on Night, an Arise Television programme, insinuated that Wike holds the greatest position in Tinubu’s cabinet. The Commentator, when asked if he was surprised by any of the appointments made by President Tinubu, said the biggest surprise was the appointment of Wike as FCT Minister, which is the number one portfolio in the cabinet of the former Lagos governor.
Jega also spoke about other appointments made by the President. He expressed surprise that the Minister of Solid Minerals, Dele Alake, was not named the Minister of Information. He also hinted that President Tinubu might name himself the Minister of Petroleum resources, just like former President Muhammadu Buhari did.
