NNPP Constitution States That Party's Founder, Aniebonam, Cannot Be Expelled – Major Reveals

The Factional Acting National Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Dr. Agbo Major, has stated that Kwankwaso’s supporters who gathered and suspended the founder of the NNPP, Aniebonam, did so in disregard for the party’s Constitution.

According to Dr. Agbo Major, Aniebonam has immunity for expulsion from the NNPP. He noted that by virtue of section 12 of the NNPP Constitution, Aniebonam has the authority and the right never to be dismissed even for one minute.

Dr. Agbo Major stated that the likes of the Chieftain of the NNPP, Buba Galadima, and Kwankwaso are only in their first year as NNP members and they are already trying to expell the founder of the party who cannot be expelled.

Explaining further, Agbo Major said that the NWC of the NNPP is fourth in the hierarchy of power in the party and the BOT is second in the hierarchy. According to Agbo Major, it is only the national convention that is ranked higher than the the BOT of the NNPP and as such, the NWC lacks the power to suspend Aniebonam.
