According to a news that was published by the Daily Trust paper online this evening, it was reported that the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, today hosted one of the key Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) chieftains at his residence in Abuja.
It was reported that the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim, today had some discussions with Abdullahi Ganduje, but the outcome of the meeting is unknown. It is not clear if Pius Anyim, is plotting to defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress, as he met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at Aso Rock early July.
While he was addressing some reporters after the meeting, Pius Anyim, who was also a Senate President said that it was a great honour to pay courtesy to Abdullahi Ganduje and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,and congratulate him, first and foremost, for his successful inauguration as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and also, to encourage and congratulate him for the bold steps he has taken so far.
He said, “We had a whole lot of heart-to-heart discussions, but primarily, it is to congratulate him.”
Chief Pius Anyim had worked for Governor Francis Nwifuru, APC candidate in Ebonyi election.
