Tribunal: Reactions As Atiku, Kwankwaso, Obi Discussing Merger To Take Over Power From Tinubu

It was reported that Abubakar Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and including Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) have begun to discuss the possibility of a merger take over power from President Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

It was gathered from the report that Atiku, Kwankwaso, and Obi come together in a consolidation to challenge Tinubu and APC amid speculations that the judgment of the presidential election petition tribunal might resort to a re-run election, and if the tribunal decided otherwise, the leaders were said to be considering putting up a formidable party ahead of the 2027 general election, during which they intended to take over the reins of power from the ruling APC.
