Nigeria & Niger Were Created From The Empires Founded By Usman Danfodio & Kanem Borno – El – Zakzaky

The Leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, IMN, Sheikh Ibrahim El – Zakzaky, has said that Nigeria and Niger Republic were created from the territories of the empires founded by Shehu Usman Danfodio and Kanem Borno.

The IMN leader, who made this declaration recently in a statement by the group’s media office, as reported by the Punch paper, while discussing the close ties Niger and Nigeria shared, noted that the two countries are twin brothers owing to the fact that they were created from the same territories, where Danfodio and Borno founded their empires.

El – Zakzaky, who visibly expressed the thought that Nigeria shared same roots and values with Niger, declared; “The cultural ties that Niger and Nigeria share are closer that people imagine… Even if southern Nigeria does not see it that way, we in the northern Nigeria had empires founded by Usman Danfodio and Kanem Borno. It was the territories of such empires that were carved out to create Niger and Nigeria.”
