Niger: You're a novice in International diplomacy – Lamido to President Tinubu

Former Governor of Jigawa State and one of the founding fathers of the major opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr Sule Lamido has described President Bola Ahmad Tinubu as a novice in the field of International diplomacy.

Daily post report that, Lamido stated this while reacting to the stand taken by ECOWAS on the coup d’etat in Niger Republic.

His reaction was contained in a post his verified Facebook account, titled “Nigeria/Niger face off.”

He said that for the past three weeks, President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has been walking a fine line and wrestling with how to best address the Niger situation.

He counselled the President to use the connections and experience of Nigeria’s former heads of state to address the situation.

Daily post report that, He claims that President Tinubu “has found himself walking on a very tightrope” after the coup d’etat in Niger a few weeks ago.He can appropriately be referred to as a newbie in this profession because he has never been exposed to international diplomacy. He lacks any diplomatic knowledge while being an emperor who has complete control over the most populous and wealthiest State in Nigeria, Lagos.

This was said by Lamido in response to the position adopted by ECOWAS about the coup in the Niger Republic.
