PEPT:The judgment on LP's petition appears to be a direct reproduction of APC's Final address–Ozigbo

Valentine Ozigbo, a chieftain of the Labour Party and former Anambra gubernatorial candidate, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the judgment delivered by the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) regarding the petitions filed by his party’s flag bearer, Peter Gregory Obi. In a tweet posted on his verified Twitter account, Ozigbo described the court session as one of the “darkest days in the nation’s history” and criticized the judges for choosing technicality over justice.

He went on to suggest that the judgment seemed like a reproduction of the final address submitted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the tribunal proceedings. Ozigbo argued that the Labour Party’s petition was an exceptional case and appeared better than what was presented by the APC. His tweet reflects the disappointment and frustration felt by some individuals and parties following the recent judgments delivered by the tribunal, which have sparked debate and varying opinions.

The post reads; “Yesterday marked one of the darkest days in our nation’s history. The judgment on the Labour Party’s petition appears to be a direct reproduction of APC’s Final address at the tribunal.”
