Niger: Be careful, don’t Weaponise electricity – Shehu Sani advises Tinubu

Former lawmaker, Shehu Sani has urged President Bola Tinubu not to weaponise electricity supply against Niger Republic in handling the leadership crisis in the West African country.

According to Sani, the President should avoid becoming the new apprentice of French neocolonialism in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) sub-region.

The social critic stated on Sunday that Nigeria should not be the vigilante of imperialism in West Africa.

He stated that Nigeria should take the opportunity to forge a new sovereign West Africa. According to Daily post.

“President Tinubu should not weaponize Niger Republic’s electricity supply,” he wrote. Nigeria should not be West Africa’s imperial vigilante. The President must exercise caution lest he become the new apprentice of French neocolonialism in our subregion. This is an opportunity to establish a new independent West Africa, beginning with the abolition of the CFA, Cedi, and Naira and the adoption of a common West African currency.”
