Nasarawa tribunal: PDP alleges manipulation of public opinion by APC

The All Progressives Congress has been accused by the Peoples Democratic Party of Nasarawa State of attempting to sway public opinion over the ongoing tribunal in the states. The party added that no “amount of fake news” would stop the PDP from winning back its “stolen mandate.”

The Chairman of the PDP in the state, Francis Orogu, reportedly voiced worries over “the distortion of key witness testimonies in the ongoing governorship election petition in Lafia,” according to a statement our correspondent got on Saturday in Abuja.

He claimed, “Neither did the state PDP returning agent or coalition officer deny the PDP’s petition before the tribunal, nor did he claim that the figures allotted in the PDP’s favor in all the purported voting units and wards were the result of human error.

At the tribunal, Barr. Ayiwulu Baba Ayiwulu, the PDP’s main witness, gave a straightforward and understandable description of his testimony.

“The APC’s effort to sway public opinion has fallen short. The PDP would continue to seek justice even if some INEC materials were withheld. There is enough evidence to refute the alleged mandate theft from other documents already given in court.

The PDP leader concluded by stressing the importance of transparency inside the party and advising the populace to “ignore false narratives spread by various sources. As both sides state their cases in the interest of justice, the ongoing tribunal process will continue.
