Make APC major party in southeast, Gbajabiamila tells Abia leaders

The chief of staff to the president and former speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has called on APC stakeholders in Abia state to elevate the party’s status in the region.

The Nation report that, Speaking when a delegation of the APC stakeholders in Abia state paid him a thank-you visit, Gbajabiamila also spoke of the need for them to embrace peace and unity to entrench the party in the state and the southeast in general.

The members of the Abia APC paid Gbajabiamila a visit at his home to thank him for helping elect Hon. Benjamin Kalu as the deputy speaker of the 10th House of Representatives.

They also praised him for nominating Nkiruka Onyejiocha to be the state’s minister of labour and employment and for Sam Onuigbo’s appointment by President Tinubu as a member of the North East Development Commission (NEDC).    

The Nation report that, The Abia APC stakeholders paid the former Speaker a visit at his home to express their gratitude for his part in the nomination of Hon. Nkiruka Onyejiocha as the minister of state for labour and employment, the election of Hon. Benjamin Kalu as the deputy speaker of the 10th House of Representatives, and the appointment of Hon. Sam Onuigbo as a member of the North East Development Commission (NEDC) by President Tinubu.

Gbajabiamila, who was startled by the enormous number of leaders in attendance, reassured them that the federal government, led by President Tinubu, always had its doors open to them.   

However, he urged all parties involved to strive tirelessly to make the APC the leading party in the southeast, promising that doing so would significantly improve the region’s fortunes.
