LP Senator, Sen Nwokocha Moves Motion For Suspension Of Keyamo’s Ministerial Screening

In a report published by Channels TV, it was reported that Senator Darlington Nwokocha, the Labour Party senator representing Abia Central on Monday moved the motion for the suspension of Festus Keyamo’s ministerial screening before the senate. Senator Darlington Nwokocha’s motion was seconded by his colleague, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, representing Abia-South Senatorial District.

However, after the motion was raised, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio subsequently subjected the motion to a voice vote but the lawmakers were divided on the matter. There was a heated argument in the red chamber after which the senate president rose to his feet, announcing that the senate will enter a closed session.

Sen Nwokocha had accused Keyamo of disrespecting the 9th National Assembly and accusing the last Assembly of being corrupt. The LP senator stated that during the Buhari administration, Keyamo was invited to explain the Special Public Works programme but he didn’t honour the invitation.
