LP Senator, Ireti Kingibe Thank President Tinubu For Norminating First FCT Indigene As Minister

Following the second list of the ministerial nominees sent by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the Senate Assembly, this week has seen more of the nominees come for their screening and aftermath, where they take a bow before the house led by Senate President, Goodswill Akpabio.

Among the Ministerial nominees that was screened today was Zephaniah Jisalo, who happens to be the first Federal Capital Territory indigene to be nominated as a minister since the present democratic dispensation in 1999.  

As reported by Channels Television, Senator Ireti Kingibe who’s also representing FCT went on to Thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for nominating a minster from FCT. Ireti Kingibe in her words said, “We would like to thank the president and the vice president for actually making this a reality; something that we have been wishing and hoping for a very long time”.

The LP Senator went on to say Jisalo is highly recommended. After her speech, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, therefore, asked the lawmakers if the nominee should take a bow. The senators unanimously agreed to that.
