LP Crisis: The Sources Financing Apapa And His Group Against Us Will Soon Dry Up – Dr Yunusa Tanko

Amid the ongoing internal leadership crisis rocking the Labour Party, prominent northern politician, and chieftain of the party, Dr. Yunusa Tanko has come out to reveal that the fight being put up by the faction led by Alhaji Lamidi Apapa against the LP’s National Working Committee (NWC) will not last for long.

Speaking during an interview on ARISE TV’s ‘ Night’ program on Tuesday, Tanko, who is the spokesman of the Obi-Datti Media Office, insisted that the cases filed by the Lamidi Apapa-led faction challenging the position of Barrister Julius Abure as the party’s authentic National Chairman would end in failure.

Going further, Tanko claimed that those who are trying to destroy the party by sponsoring Apapa and his faction would soon run out of funds to continue their mission.

He said; “Let me make this clear, right from the very beginning, the accusations of forgery against Abure that are being peddled by the Apapa-led group had no basis because they themselves don’t have any standing in taking the matter to court. So, in the first place, there is no such thing as signature forgery because despite the forensic report they claim they got from God knows where, we were able to get the actual report that nullifies all the accusations leveled Abure, and others.

So, it is now clear that the sources financing Apapa and his group against us and the party will dry up very soon. Because we are a law abiding party and we are following the rules one by one.”
