"LP came all out from blues & in less than 3months, they made same votes as PDP of 25yrs"- Ibrahim Abdullahi

Ibrahim Abdullahi, Deputy national publicity secretary, PDP, said that Labour Party came all out from the blues and in less than 3 months, they made same votes as PDP that have lasted for 25 years.

Ibrahim Abdullahi made the statement in an interview with AIT during the Democracy program, when he was talking about the PDP internal squabbles, and Ijeoma asked why Nigerians are not hearing from the party and that, some are saying is like Labour Party is now the real opposition.

Ibrahim Abdullahi responded that being in the publicity department of the party, he must say that they have internal problems. He said when Kola Ologbondiyan was the party’s national publicity, he did well and after he left, he was still very active. He said the person there now, the capacity is not there. And even though, the work can not be done by one man, no matter how good.

Ijeoma interrupted that maybe the national publicity is avoiding some of the crisis in the party and therefore not just talk or made statement that people will take out of context.

He responded that, will not talking solve their party problem because he swore to oath that he will do the job, because a party not speaking to Nigerians, is a party that is not serious.

“Like you said, Labour Party came all out from the blues and in less than 2 to 3 months, it generated the same votes that PDP generated that has lasted for 25 years, and barring last minutes abaracadabra, they would have won election themselves.
