I've always ask why did INEC not predict there could be glitch & have alternative option- Akin Osuntokun

Akin Osuntokun, Director General of the Obi/Datti campaign, said that the question he has always ask is that why did INEC not anticipated that there could be glitches and therefore have fallback option.

Akin Osuntokun asked the question in an interview with Channels Television during the Sunrise Daily program when he was asked that the call by the Labour Party that INEC chairman, Prof Yakubu Mahmoud, Festus Okoye and others to be suspension and probed be later after investigation or now is the right time.

Akin Osuntokun responded that which investigation are they talking about and that he is surprise that some people believe that INEC need to be investigated all over again because they have established INEC culpability.

“That’s what all the report says, including the one they considered sympathetic, that’s the ECOWAS’ report. If INEC especially the chairman is guilty of all those things, you going over them all over again, what more investigation do you want?”

Osuntokun claimed that INEC itself gave evidence against itself, they raise our hope to high heaven on BVAS and IReV and first thing that will happen in Election Day was INEC to report that there was a glitch. He then said,

“I’ve always asked the question (assuming what they are saying is correct) was it not anticipated that there could be a glitch and should then have a fallback plan?”
