It's Not Because Of Festus Keyamo Alone That Senate Went Into Executive Session Yesterday- Yemi Adaramodu

Chairman of the Senate Committee On Media, Yemi Adaramodu has come out to speak on the Senate’s decision to temporarily suspend Festus Keyamo’s ministerial screening and go into executive session yesterday.

According to Yemi Adaramodu who appeared in an interview on Channels television this morning, in addition to the petition the senate had against Keyamo, they also had a lot of other issues to privately address and that was why the executive session was held for a brief period.

In his own words as seen on Channels television this morning…

“There was nothing very unusual yesterday, when a nominee came up and was about to be screened, there are issues to be raised by senators. Our going into a closed session is not majorly because of Festus Keyamo, there were several other matters and issues to be discussed behind closed doors.”

“Initially when Festus Keyamo came up and some issues were raised, we needed to put all the issues we had then on the table together. And then we decided to give him a chance to speak in defence of himself on the issues related to him but it wasn’t because of him alone that the Senate went into executive session.”
