'It will go down' : FCT minister, Nyesom Wike warns owners of illegal structures

Former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has revealed his plan for owners of illegal structures in the FCT. The FCT Minister said that he would ensure illegal structures in the nation’s capital are removed.

The minister made the statement during an interaction with members of the press as he intimates them on what to expect from his administration. He said that illegal structures would be demolished no matter the personality of the owners of such properties.

According to him, “If you know have built where you are not supposed to build, it will go down it will go down. If you know you have developed where you are not supposed to, it will go down.”

He went on to state that cattle herders would no longer be allowed to operate within the city centre. He said that through dialogue, he would see that cattle herders go about their business in the outskirt of the FCT.

According to him, “We cannot allow cows inside the city. It can be outside the city. The grass planted in the city is meant to beautify the city.” The cattle would feed on grasses outside the city, he explained.
