Tinubu stated that ” We shall phase out the energy subsidy yet maintain the sustaining social surety between government and the people. We do this by giving up the money that would have been used on the subsidy to finance targeted infrastructural, farming, and social well- being programs ranging from expressway construction to boreholes, public transportation allocations, and education and healthcare financing programs. In this way, the finances are more directly and better utilized to address critical social and money- spinning requirements.
