The former Rivers governor, who spoke after he was inaugurated as the Minister of the FCT, maintained that it won’t be business as usual in the FCT during his time. According to him, President Tinubu had promised Nigerians renewed hope during his campaign, which was why he nominated and appointed him as a Minister because of his capacity to deliver the hope the former Lagos governor promised. He expressed readiness to work, as he maintained that he is willing to do the work given to him.

Wike said Tinubu has given him the order to restore the lost glory of the FCT, hence, his decision to address the press on his readiness to serve. The bigwig of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), sought that the citizens of FCT work together with his Ministry to deliver on the promises made.
