Shehu Sani, a former senator for Kaduna Central has taken to his verified Twitter page to react to the appointment of Mohammed Badaru as Defence Minister.
It was reported today that President Bola Tinubu approved the appointment of the new ministers and also allocated their portfolios.
Reacting to the appointment of the former governor of Jigawa state, Mohammed Badaru as Defence Minister, the outspoken activist, Shehu Sani took to his microblogging, Twitter page, to air out his thought.
According to the former lawmaker, he revealed in his statement by saying because of the security problems faced by the nation, he thought the Defence Minister should be a retired Military officer with experience and records of accomplishments.
However, Shehu Sani concluded his statement by saying the office of defence minister shouldn’t be just political, especially during this period.
