PEPT:Obi Didn't petition any Court in the US concerning Tinubu, I think only Atiku did that–Obiora

The National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, Obiora Ifoh, clarified that the party’s presidential candidate in the last general elections, Peter Obi, did not file any petition against the election winner, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in a court in the United States. This clarification comes in response to news that Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) filed a petition in a U.S. court seeking more information about Tinubu’s academic records at Chicago State University.

Both Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar are currently challenging the victory of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja.

According to an article in The Punch paper, Obiora Ifoh responded to the news of Peter Obi potentially filing a lawsuit against Tinubu in the United States: “Our candidate (Peter Obi) did not petition any court in the US concerning Tinubu. I think only Atiku did that. But what we are saying is that Mr Peter Obi should be declared the authentic winner of the election after winning a majority of lawful votes.”

The Labour Party’s National Publicity Secretary further stated that: “despite the questionable actions that took place during the election, it is evident that Obi emerged as the clear winner. We have presented compelling evidence to substantiate our claim, and we trust that the knowledgeable judges will base their decision on the evidence provided. This is our stance, and it remains unalterable.”
