I Went To The Hospital To Celebrate My Appointment As Minister, Helped The Less Privileged – Uju Kenedy

Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kenedy has come out to reveal the first steps she took after her Inauguration as a minister by President Bola Tinubu a few days ago.

According to Uju Kenedy who appeared in an interview on AIT this morning, she did an all around inspection in the ministry of women affairs first, after her Inauguration and she also did visit the hospitals to help the less privileged who were being held back at the hospitals due to failure to pay their medical bills.

In her own words as seen on AIT this morning….

“I am eager to get to work because for so many years, I’ve wanted this position because I know I will be able to make a positive impact in the country. So the first day I was inaugurated, I went straight to the ministry, did my press conference and met with the staff. And from there, I had to go for inspection because I know this ministry has a lot of properties. Some are utilised, some are not utilised so I had to go on an inspection. I went to the women development centre, went around and saw what they were doing. Then I went to the hospital to celebrate my appointment by paying bills for the indigent patients, the women, the children, so many of them held back at the hospital because of payment, I was able to pay for them too. And some of them that still needed treatment, I paid for them too.”
