'I Am Not Working For APC, I'm Working For President Bola Tinubu Who Has Trust In Me' -Nyesom Wike

Nyesom Wike, the former Governor of Rivers State and current FCT Minister, has challenged the People Democratic Party (PDP), asserting that no one has the authority to suspend him from the party. He clarified that he is working for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, not the All Progressive Congress (APC), despite criticisms following his acceptance of the ministerial appointment.

In an interview in a video (Watch The Full Video) on Channel Television’s Politics, Wike stated that he has not encountered a party leader with the power to suspend or expel him from the PDP. He emphasized that he is not aligned with the opposition party; rather, he is dedicated to serving President Tinubu, who trusts him to contribute to revitalizing hope in Nigeria.

“The notion of someone suspending me only arises if I failed to produce a governor, three senators, and Assembly members. Such a person does not exist. No one can execute it. My allegiance is not with the APC. I am committed to working for Tinubu, who entrusts me to help restore hope.”
