This was said in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by Mazi Paul Ibe, the media advisor for PDP presidential hopeful Atiku Abubakar.
He said, “The PDP presidential flag bearer talked to a huge crowd of PDP members at the campaign site about his 5-point policy agenda.”
Ibe quoted Atiku as adding, “My first obligation as President is to unify this country.” Giving the current APC administration another chance to do a lousy job of undermining this country’s unity will be unfortunate. I’ll thus fix that.
We’ll also ensure that our children receive a top-notch, long-lasting education. The Universal Basic Education Act, which gave our kids the right to regularly attend school, was passed by the PDP in order to achieve this goal.
In a similar spirit, we’ll boost the economy, encourage business hiring of young people, develop infrastructure, and restore Nigerians’ faith in government.
“We are again going to make sure that we devolve more power and responsibility to the state and local governments in order to bring the government closer to the people.”
