How do LP know' that the judgement will be rerun, are they now judging the tribunal?–Iyiola Omisore

During an interview with Channels Television, Sen. Iyiola Omisore, the National Secretary of the APC, addressed the deceptive tactics employed by certain individuals to mislead their followers. He specifically mentioned the Labour Party’s claim for a rerun in the 2023 general election, despite coming in third place. He emphasized that the decision regarding the court judgment would not be within their control unless it favored them.

Regarding a statement made by Barrister Julius Abure, where he urged the APC to prepare for a rerun, Omisore stated that he was not aware of such a statement. He further expressed uncertainty about the identity of the individual who could have made such a remark, emphasizing that he only knew of three chairmanships within the party.

Omisore questioned the source of the statement, asking which party it referred to and which of the three chairmen within the LP made the comment. He admitted his lack of awareness and stated that the party was unfamiliar with any such statement. However, he highlighted the tendency within the Labour Party to deceive its supporters. He pointed out that the LP had only gone through one court proceeding and had not sought recourse in any other court, yet they confidently asserted that a rerun would take place. Omisore criticized their assumption that they could predict the outcome of the judgment, suggesting that the Labour Party was playing the role of the tribunal.

“Which of the parties?” Which of the three chairman because the LP has two to three chairmen? I’m not aware of it. We’re not aware of such, but the point is that in the Labour Party, there’s a way people deceive their followers. This is the first court, for instance, and they haven’t been to another court. The LP came third in the election, and they said we’re going for a rerun. How do they know that the judgement will be rerun? So the Labour Party is now judging the tribunal. They’re jokers.”

Expanding on his views, he remarked that many politicians possessed an unwavering sense of optimism. They expected to achieve a 100% result even when starting from scratch. Omisore regarded the Labour Party’s claims as merely wishful thinking and dismissed them as insignificant, labeling the party members as jokers from his perspective.
