Ekpe Ogbu, the housing and urban development commissioner for the state of Benue, has been abducted.
He was taken hostage along with the Honorable Agbo Ode, a relative of his, and the driver.
They were reportedly abducted while traveling from Otukpo to Utonkon in the state’s Ado Local Government Area along David Marks Farm, following Akpa Otobi.
After attending a church service at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Otukpo, where Senator Abba Moro, who represents the Benue South Senatorial District, dedicated his newly inaugurated campaign council to God, the commissioner was reportedly headed to his village in NDEKMA, Utonkon District of Ado LGA when the unfortunate incident occurred at around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2022.
Since then, his work vehicle had been located at the scene and transported to the Divisional Police station in Otukpo.
