Future Of Nigeria Lies In Your Hands, You Cannot Afford To Fail – Gov Namadi Tells Corps Members

Malam Umar Namadi, the Governor of Jigawa State, has urged members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to prepare for the responsibilities ahead as the future of the country lies in their hands, according to Dailypost.

The Governor made the statement during the closing ceremony of the 2023 Batch ‘B’ Stream 2 Corp members at the permanent orientation camp in Dutse Local Government Area.

Represented by Hon. Sagir Musa, the Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture, he advice the corps members to detest all forms of social misconduct and to show respect for the customs and traditions of the communities where they will be serving.

He said, “Prepare yourselves for greater responsibilities, you must serve with honesty and faithfully as the future leaders of our country. The future of Nigeria lies in your hands, and you cannot afford to fail.

“As change agents, you are expected to contribute to the government policies and programs, mobilizing communities, leading social campaigns, and fostering community development services to reawaken the conscience of our people.”
