PEPT: "I was perplexed not to see any LP leaders in the courtroom" -Nyesom Wike

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the FCT, has stated that he was perplexed that he did not see the leaders of the Labour Party at the decision of the electoral tribunal case. The vice presidential candidate and the presidential candidate, he firmly declared, should have appeared in court. He further contended that the opposition should accept defeat and back President Bola Tinubu’s government.

In an interview with Channels TV, Wike questioned whether the nation had ever held elections. specifically the presidential election, for which citizens did not seek redress in court. “I was astonished to not see the party leaders yesterday when I watched television. What happened? But he has consistently shown up to court. I was shocked not to see any Labour Party officials in the courtroom. Both the vice presidential and presidential candidates must appear in court. The PDP has the same situation. They should all work together right away with the President in a serious nation to realize the rekindled hope”.
