Dr. Arikana Quao: If You Look At The Previous Coups, They Were Orchestrated By The Western Powers
Dr. Arikana Chihombori Quao, who previously held the position of Permanent Representative to the African Union Mission in Washington, D.C, has asserted that, the Western Powers were responsible for engineering past coups in Africa.
During her interview with Arise TV news, she conveyed that, the recent coups occurring in Africa, are rooted in the aspirations of the people.
She asserted that, ”I see what is happening in Niger, Mali, Guinea and Burkina Faso very differently. If you look at the previous coups, they were orchestrated by the Western Power, majority was orchestrated by France.” She continued, “They had their own intentions, and the leaders who were doing what was ultimately best for their people were assassinated.”
She further stated that, “The difference between these Coups are, coups being led by our people. The people have spoken, and they now truly understand the issue. They are standing up to say that, what has been going on is unfair and unacceptable.”

Dr. Arikana Chihombori Quao emphasized that, the African continent is now taking a stand, to voice its opposition to unjust foreign policies.
