The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Organization has expressed optimism that the emergence of Former Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Nyesom Wike as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) would bring change to the country’s capital.

According to PUNCH NEWS, Chief Isiguzoro Okechukwu, the General Secretary of the organization made this known of recent while commending president Bola Tinubu for appointing a Southerner to such office.
In summary, he said: ‘ Ohanaeze Ndigbo is indeed happy that after the last southerner, late Professor Miriam Odinchezo Ikejiani-Clark left office as FCT minister in 1997, President Tinubu has now balanced history with the appointment of another southerner, Nyesom Wike as FCT Minister. Abuja under Wike would surely taste the magic wand of Mr. Projects, a nickname for Wike’s for the good governance in River State. Tinubu and FCT residents can now sleep with their eyes closed ‘.
