Even with everything said about Buhari, at least he came to Villa with about 15M votes- Sowunmi

Even with all that was stated about former president Mohammadu Buhari, PDP chairman Segun Sowunmi said that he still entered the presidential mansion with almost 15 million votes.

In response to Seun Okinbaloye’s question on if the PDP is still departing in the excitement of the past, Segun Sowunmi made the remark in an interview with Channels Television for the Politics Today programme.

Segun Sowunmi previously said that the PDP has been an institution that practically produces the majority of persons in today’s administration. He highlighted individuals like Godswill Akpabio, a former PDP senator and governor, among others. He mentioned Ribadu, Nasir El-Rufai, etc.

One cannot claim that the PDP is still living in the ecstasy of the past, he added, with the legitimacy issue being at the forefront. He said that we cannot have a 93 million voter voting map if only 8 million voters are present in the villa. That, he said, already voids the validity.

“This election is exceptional because, despite all that has been stated about Muhammadu Buhari, he nevertheless arrived at the villa with around 15 million votes. You have no right to boast about anything since you are only expected to get about 8 million votes.
