Despite The Floods We Are Still Selling Rice Made In Nigeria, Is That Not An Achievement?- Buhari

Recent flooding in Nigeria has become an “overwhelming” disaster. Nigeria is used to seasonal flooding, but this year has been significantly worse than usual. Since the flooding began in early summer, large swathes of farmland have been destroyed. There are concerns about increased spread of disease, and food and fuel supplies have also been disrupted

However, in a statement released by President Buhari, during the interview said “I’m aware that floods have ravaged some farmlands this season but we are still selling rice made in Nigeria, and we can feed ourselves. Is that not an achievement

Furthermore, he stated that Nigerians don’t have any reason to complain of hunger when God has blessed the country with vast land for farming.
