According to an article published by the Leadership paper online this morning, it has been reported that following the resignation of former embattled National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, consultations are underway among top leaders of the party for his replacement.

Reportedly, Senator Abdullahi Adamu tendered his resignation letter on Sunday as instructed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The resignation took place during a meeting at the party’s National Secretariat, where Senator Abubakar Kyari led a team of seven other members of the National Working Committee.

An anonymous party source revealed that when the acting chairman arrived, he parked his car in the space reserved for Senator Abdullahi Adamu, signaling that something was amiss. Furthermore, former national secretary Iyiola Omisore arrived at the National Secretariat but was not allowed to attend the ongoing NWC meeting. He left the secretariat and stated that he would meet with Adamu, expressing confusion as to why Adamu was absent.
