Since May29 Tinubu took oath of office as President he' yet to make any remark on corruption-Akunna

Chuks Akunna, Executive Director, Authority newspaper, said that since Tinubu took the oath of office as President of Nigeria, he has not made any comment on corruption.

Chuks Akunna made the statement in an interview with AIT during the Kakaaki program when he was asked to react to the emergence of Former Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, as the new national chairman of the APC.

Chuks Akunna said before now, there were rumours that Ganduje was going to emerge as the national chairman of the APC and some people were saying is not possible, because of his alleged tainted nature. He said even the present governor in Kano state is probing Ganduje.

Chuks said one we think with the legitimacy surrounding the emergence of Tinubu, that APC would have done some better in-house cleansing, by seeing a more perceived ‘credible’ person.

Chuks said everybody remembers the viral video where Ganduje allegedly stuffed dollars in his ‘babariga’ and till today, it appears that the federal government is shielding him.

“And that’s why people will talk about Tinubu and the corruption question. Since May 29, 2023, that Tinubu took the oath of office as President of Nigeria, he is yet to make any comment on corruption.
