Omisore has not resigned as APC National Secretary – Lawyer

Kayode Ajulo, solicitor to Senator Iyiola Omisore says the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has not resigned from his office.

On Monday in Abuja, Ajulo told the Agency of Nigeria that it was doubtful that both Omisore and Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, the party’s national chairman, would leave their positions at the same time.

He said Omisore’s purported resignation was unjustified and unfounded, and that he would attend the National Working Committee (NWC) meeting as scheduled.

He claimed that Omisore’s departure will be a matter of personal choice and that, contrary to rumours in some circles, he was not coerced into doing so.

“Why must he resign, he is the national secretary of the successful party that just inaugurated President Bola Tinubu’s new administration,”

“He is pleased with the work the president is doing, and vice versa, the party appreciates the president’s support. According to Daily post.

He is currently working to stabilise the political landscape and make sure that both the Nigerian people and those who contributed to President Bola Tinubu’s rise are satisfied with the direction the country is taking, according to Ajulo.

There were rumours on July 16 about the supposed resignation of the National chairperson, Adamu, according to the Agency of Nigeria (NAN), which have now been confirmed.
