Tinubu stood by me, its now my turn to reciprocate – Asari Dokubo

A leader from the Niger Delta, Alhaji Asari Dokubo, asserted that his group had gathered to express support for President Bola Tinubu, emphasizing that the allegations against him lacked credibility and substance.

According to the Daily Post, Dokubo conveyed his views to the Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday outside the premises of the Appeal Court Headquarters in Abuja, where the Presidential Election Petitions Court (PEPC) was being held.

The former militant, accompanied by the Ijaw Youth for BAT, in cooperation with the National APC Supporters Center and the Northern Youth Network for Asiwaju, assembled along Shehu Shagari Way, directly across from the Head of Service building.

He conveyed his optimism about the case’s outcome, stating, “Our presence in court today is significant. We firmly believe that the case will be decided in our favor, as it lacks merit. We’ve amassed an overwhelming majority here (gesturing toward his group), and their opposition is nowhere to be found.”

Furthermore, he emphasized, “President Tinubu stood by me during my most challenging moments, and now it’s my turn to reciprocate. When questioned about his reaction if the judgment did not favor his candidate, he responded, “We are confident in our case.”

He urged all Nigerians to unite and collaborate for the betterment of the nation, regardless of how the judgment unfolds.
