A Twitter user who was standing at the scene of the accident explained that she barely escaped being crushed by the bus.
She tweeted: “A bus carrying passengers from Abeokuta somersaulted and crashed into the brt fence The bus turned over. Driver bleeding People are badly injured I was standing there, I was by the wall a minute ago.”
She added:“Pleaseeeee ambulanceeeee. Abulegba brt. People are dyinggg.”
A video from the scene shows many injured passengers sitting or lying on the road. People are heard screaming as onlookers gather around the bus to help those inside.
