Oginni Olaposi Sunday, the NNPP acting national secretary, claims that Buba Galadima went to ask Dr. Boniface Aniebonam for Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso’s candidature for the party’s nomination in the 2023 elections. In an interview with Arise TV news, he claimed that Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, the party’s founder, is being unfairly targeted since he gave his platform to a person from the North. He claims that the NNPP decision to suspend Kwankwaso was a move made to reclaim the party.

All of the speakers in this room joined the party eight months ago, not up to a year ago, he claimed. Buba Galadima asked Dr. Boniface Aniebonam to give Rabiu Kwankwaso the NNPP platform to run for office. They are simply enjoying the generosity of Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, a man from the northern state of Anambra who is feared as a Nigerian and who handed a Northerner the party’s platform 22 years ago.

This is not the way to handle a man who attempts to be pan-Nigerian. And as far as the NNPP is concerned, we reclaimed our party from these guys who are tenants. I have never witnessed a situation where notifying the landlords right away due to a skill issue. It cannot be done.
