According to Vanguard newspaper, the special assistant and public communications to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Mr. Phrank Shaibu, has said his principal has filed a separate case No. 23-5099 (N.D. III.) At the U.S district Court for the northern district of Illinois against president bola Ahmed tinubu in United States
Notably, he said this in a statement released in Abuja late on Sunday 6th August 2023.
This, he said informed the decision of the presidential candidate of the peoples democratic party to withdraw an existing case before a circuit Court in Illinois.
Furthermore, he said his principal, Atiku Abubakar only withdrew the case before a circuit Court of Cook county, United States of America, because he was chasing the same matter in a higher court and he wanted to avoid an abuse of court processes.
However he said it was amusing that president Tinubu and his supporters were happy over the development as if it were a supreme court judgement.
He alleged that president Bola Tinubu’s academic records from primary school to university remained questionable, adding that the president has failed to identify a single former classmate.
