Assuming there is rerun & Tinubu loses, undoing what Tinubu has been done will be recipe for crisis-Nkupbre

Chief Edet Nkupbre, a former national vice chairman of the PDP, South-South, reportedly said in a story published by the Punch online daily this morning that, in the event of a rerun, if Tinuby loses, reversing what has already been done would be a recipe for trouble.

In a follow-up question, Chief Edet Nkupbre was asked whether he agreed with President Tinubu’s assertion that there would be a crisis if the court removed him from office. He made the remark during an interview with a Punch journalist.

The question arose in response to a previous comment made by Chief Edet, who said that it is most preferable and just to modify the constitution to address the pressing problem of swearing in either the president or governors until the election challenge case is resolved. He said that the administration is already in place since President Tinubu has taken a number of actions, such as appointing ministries and security chiefs and even supporting the rise of Akpabio.

However, in response to the crisis issue raised by Tinubu, he remarked,

“In my opinion, the dilemma is not so much the movement of people through the streets as it is the crisis of reversing what has already been done. Undoing what has been done would result in a catastrophe, if there is a repeat and Tinubu loses. Because of how terrible the situation is, the Constitution must be changed to include judicial proceedings in elections.
