Aso Rock Visit:I Will Be Coming Here Almost Every Week So Nigerians Should Not Be Surprised-Goodluck

Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has said that he will frequent Aso Rock and that Nigerians shouldn’t be surprised by it.

The Bayelsa-born political gladiator made this known after paying President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a courtesy call at the Aso Rock presidential mansion in Abuja today, according to The Nation paper.

Since his inauguration on May 29, 2023, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State and national head of the All Progressives Congress, has met with numerous political and religious figures.

Goodluck Ebele Jonathan responded after the meeting, by saying; We are fortunate that our President has been nominated as Chairperson of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS. I have been a member of ECOWAS since 2020 as the ECOWAS Mediator in Mali.

He continued, “In fact, I’ll be here almost every week, so Nigerians shouldn’t be surprised because those were the issues we discussed; we have a lot of challenges in the sub-region.”

He continued, “We have crises in Burkina Faso, Guinea, and Mali; I’m really addressing Mali, but I’m still in charge of others. So we gathered together to think things through. We hold meetings and have discussions about how to advance things because I am also the Chair of the ECOWAS Council of the Wise.
