'The Judgment Was To The Effect That Obi & Atiku Didn't Bother To Prove Their Petitions' -Onokpasa

Barrister Jesutega Onokpasa, an APC Chieftain, has alleged that the judgment delivered by the Presidential Election Tribunal judges yesterday conveyed the message that the petitioners, Mr. Peter Obi and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, failed to substantiate their petitions against President Bola Tinubu. He argued that this judgment highlighted the unprofessional conduct of some lawyers within the legal system.

In an interview with Arise TV news, Onokpasa expressed his views, saying, “What transpired yesterday is a condemnation of professional misconduct on the part of certain lawyers. How could they bring such frivolous petitions to a court of law? Furthermore, they failed to make any effort to substantiate their case. As a lawyer, sitting there, hearing their lordships deliver that verdict would have been embarrassing. The judgment essentially conveyed the message that Peter Obi and Atiku did not even make an attempt to prove their petitions, which is quite shocking.”
