Tinubu Vs Opposition: Judges will take decision based on facts on ground & not on speculations–Ajuri Ngelale

Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Tinubu, has responded to the claims that the presidential election results in certain states should labeled as “rigged” by certain individuals due to unexpected outcomes. Ngelale made his statements during an interview on Channels Television, where he argued that the APC (All Progressives Congress) secured victories in various states across the geopolitical spectrum, and these wins should not be dismissed as rigged.

According to Ngelale, the APC has confidence in the strength of their case, supported by substantial evidence and a highly skilled legal team. He said that they possess the best available facts to support their claims. The key assertion is that the APC won in numerous regions with the right vote counts, and this was accomplished through legitimate means.

Ngelale pointed out an interesting perspective: when the APC lost in certain strongholds like Lagos and President Buhari’s home state of Katsina, there were no allegations of rigged elections. This highlights the inconsistency in labeling elections as rigged based solely on the outcomes, rather than a fair assessment of the electoral process. Regarding the upcoming court judgment from the presidential election tribunal, Ngelale expressed confidence that the court would make a decision based on the presented facts.

In his words; “The facts before the judges are such that they will take the decisions in accordance with the facts on ground and not the facts from any other baseless speculation.”
