Former presidential aide, Femi Adesina, has responded to Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah’s comment about the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari. Bishop Kukah had stated that Nigeria witnessed a significant level of corruption during Buhari’s tenure, clarifying that corruption did not start with him but worsened during his administration.
In a Twitter post, Adesina criticized Bishop Kukah, suggesting that the cleric was upset because he did not receive any favoritism from Buhari. Adesina wrote that Bishop Kukah’s words hold no significance, implying that his remarks were driven by personal disappointment.
On another note, former President Muhammadu Buhari, through his former media aide, Garba Shehu, denied reports claiming that he was in exile. Buhari clarified that he had returned to his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, and dismissed the notion of fleeing the country. He stated that it was misleading to suggest that he was in exile when he was actually at home with his family.
