Wike Has Not At Any Point Said He Is No Longer A Member Of The PDP – Kola Ologbondiyan

In the wake of the internal crisis that rocked that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the run-up to the 2023 general elections, a prominent chieftain of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan has insisted that the newly appointed Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike still remains a valid member of the former ruling party.

Speaking during an interview on Channels TV’s ‘Political Paradigm’ program on Tuesday, August 29, Ologbondiyan stated that despite leading a rebelling faction of governors against the PDP in the run-up to the polls, Wike is yet to denounce his membership from the party, and therefore cannot be assumed to have dumped the platform.

He said; “One thing we must agree is that even the former governor and now minister, Nyesom Wike has not at any point said that he is no longer a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). I haven’t heard that from him. Irrespective of what has transpired, he hasn’t said so.

I cannot fathom what he will likely say, or what would be his next direction. We can only judge a man by his words and actions. And as we speak now, he hasn’t said he is not a member of the PDP.”
