Kenneth Okonkwo reacts to video of Uzoukwu, Obi's lawyer, saying that LP is only party that won 25% in FCT

In response to a video where Mr. Livy Uzoukwu, the lead counsel for Mr. Peter Obi, claimed that the Labour Party was the only political party to secure 25% or more of the vote in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Abuja, with other parties trailing far behind, veteran Nollywood actor and Labour Party Chieftain, Mr. Kenneth Okonkwo, has issued a reply.

Mr. Kenneth Okonkwo emphasized their unwavering trust in God and expressed their commitment to continuous prayers, hoping that ultimately, God’s will would prevail, and their mandate would be restored.

In his statement, Mr. Okonkwo reinforced their reliance on faith by writing, “In God, we trust. Let us maintain our belief that God’s will shall be done, and our mandate shall be regained.”

In the same video, Mr. Uzoukwu accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of providing them with 8,123 illegible results, raising concerns about the integrity of the electoral process.

It is important to note that the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, have taken their case to court, contesting the declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu from the All Progressives Congress (APC) as President. They argue that Tinubu should not have been declared President by INEC, as he did not receive the required 25% of votes cast in the FCT. The ongoing court battle seeks either the proclamation of Peter Obi as the winner or the ordering of a new election. This legal challenge has piqued the curiosity of Nigerians, who eagerly await the resolution of the matter. The outcome of this case will undoubtedly have significant implications for the political landscape in the country.
