Wike: We're Waiting For The Presidential Panel To Finish, You Will Know Those Working For The Party.

Former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, has highlighted that the conclusion of the Presidential Election Tribunal holds significance as it will unveil individuals aligned with the PDP and those opposing the party’s interests.

Expanding on his statement, the ex-Governor asserted that his affiliation with the party is unshakable, emphasizing that no party member possesses the authority to expel or suspend him. He underlined his state’s contributions, including a PDP Governor, three senators, 32 State House of Assembly members, and 11 out of 13 House of Representatives members.

During an interview on Channels Television, Wike clarified his continuous membership in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. In his words, “We are just waiting for the presidential panel to finish, you will know who are those who are working well for the party. How can anybody talk about expelling me? A state that brought a governor? A state that brought three senators? A state that produced 32 House of Assembly members? A state that produced 11 out of 13 House of Representatives.”

Wike expressed his intention to provide support for President Bola Tinubu’s successful tenure, firmly stating that he owes no apology for endorsing the shift of power to southern Nigeria in the recently concluded presidential election. He further asserted that he should be the one advocating for disciplinary measures against those who disregarded the party’s constitution by failing to uphold power rotation to the southern region.
