'Wike Came With Envy, Spoke With Venom, Displayed Ignorance, & Played To The Gallery' -Mahdi Shehu

Shehu Mahdi, a human rights activist based in Kaduna, reacted to former Rivers state governor Nyesom Wike’s speech as he takes on the role of FCT Minister. Following Wike’s inauguration at the presidential villa, he announced his plans for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) through a press statement. Wike discussed revoking land titles and demolishing structures not aligned with the Abuja master plan.

Expressing displeasure, Mahdi Shehu took to Twitter in a tweet as seen in the last screenshot below, to criticize Wike’s statement. He characterized Wike’s speech as envious, venomous, and ignorant, aimed at attracting attention. Shehu added that Wike’s path could lead to failure and embarrassment.

Concluding his statement, Mahdi Shehu cited a Bible verse: “Where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder (unrest, rebellion) and every evil thing.”

In my opinion, I believe people shouldn’t criticize Nyesom Wike about his first day in office statement, rather they should support him for a better Abuja and FCT.
